Check a selection
DuoTyping checks the grammar and tone of the text you select, in a card of its own. Nothing changes until you accept a fix.
Check it
- Select the text.
- Press ⌃⇧⌘D on a Mac, or Win+Shift+D on Windows. In Chrome or Edge, right-click it and choose DuoTyping › Check selection.
- Choose Accept on each fix you want, or Skip it. For a whole rewrite, the button is Replace selection. Close the card to change nothing.
With DuoTyping Engine, each check uses one of the day’s checks. See Free and Pro.
A fix for each sentence, or whole rewrites
Your writing profile decides. Sentence by sentence gives one card for each sentence that needs a fix. Whole selection gives a few ways to say all of it. Chrome and Edge always check the whole selection.
To check the same text with another profile, choose the profile’s name at the top of the card.
Nothing selected?
On a Mac or Windows, the shortcut opens Write instead. Paste your text there.
Copy in place of Accept
Some apps don’t let DuoTyping write a fix back, such as Chrome, Slack and Teams on a Mac. There the button is Copy (Copy fix on Windows): copy the fix, then paste it over your selection.
A wrong fix
Choose Report… on it and pick a reason. It sends your reason, not your text. If DuoTyping found nothing but missed a mistake, choose Missed something?.
