Install DuoTyping on a Mac

Mac onlymacOS 14 or later

Download it

Get the disk image from duotyping.com. Drag DuoTyping to Applications, then open it from there. Or use Homebrew:

brew install redevify/tap/duotyping

Sign in

Choose Get Started, then Sign In…, and sign in to your free account: 20 checks a day.

Or choose Use my own key instead and paste an OpenAI or Anthropic key. That service bills you.

Allow Accessibility

Choose Grant Access…, then turn on DuoTyping in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility.

On, but nothing happens?

Turn DuoTyping off and on again in the list, or see Allow Accessibility on your Mac.

You’re done when…

DuoTyping’s icon is in your menu bar, and ⌃⇧⌘D checks the text you select.
